Welcome Juan Luis Garcí­a and Pablo Osses

The Chilean professors Juan Luis García and Pablo Osses from the Centro del Desierto de Atacama of the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile spend a two weeks research stay (24.05. - 04.06.2015) at the Heidelberg University of Education. Their visit is part of the project cooperation about fog ecosystems in the Atacama Desert at the north coast of Chile. 

 

Their stay has several aims: (1) discussion about collaboration projects, advances and data, (2) working on an international research proposal and (3) planning next steps regarding investigation and fieldwork.

 

 

In addition, Prof. Juan Luis García has presented the topic "The Atacama coastal fog geoecosystem under past and present climate change" in the doctoral colloquium at the department of Geography.
